Job Description: Seaman

Coastal Shipping Limited operates a fleet of oil tankers, delivering vital fuel to Arctic and Labrador Coastal Ports. Established in 1973, we have expanded from Newfoundland and Labrador to global operations. Seaman responsibilities include, following the direction of their department heads or Officers in a position of authority over them. All ratings are to ensure that all their duties are undertaken in a safe and seaman-like manner. When necessary, crewmembers of both the deck and engine departments are expected to work in all areas of the ship as deemed by the Master. All deck hands assigned to the watch are expected to work under the direction of the Officer of the watch they are partnered with..
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bridge Watch Rating Certificate of Competency
2. STCW Basic Safety/Survival Craft
3. Ship Personnel with Designated Security Duties
4. Transport Canada Marine Medical
5. Marine Basic First Aid
6. Basic Training for Oil and Chemical Cargo Operations

Additional Requirements:
1. Experience in Arctic and remote area navigation is preferred
