Labrador Sportfish

Get Hooked… On Wild Atlantic Salmon at Eagle’s Nest, Eagle River, Labrador

Many believe that Labrador is the best-kept freshwater angling secret in North America!

The Salmon season begins in late June and runs through August. There are many grilse and mature salmon caught here every year.  Grilse are large and average 6 to 8 pounds and mature salmon in the 12 to 18 pound ranges are not uncommon.  Every year, the camp accounts for many salmon in the 17-23 pound range with the largest caught (to date!) being 28 pounds.  The present government regulations permit an angler to retain 2 fish per day, 4 per year, that are less than 63 centimetres in length.

Eagle’s Nest accommodates large Group bookings only, up to 10 Anglers, for a minimum of a 3-Night stay.  Many might even say that Eagle’s Nest may be a best-kept secret, for its loyal groups have been thrashing the waters of the mighty Eagle River for years, and very rarely is there an open slot for new Anglers to experience the marvel of Eagle’s Nest…
