Job Description: Master

Coastal Shipping Limited operates a fleet of oil tankers, delivering vital fuel to Arctic and Labrador Coastal Ports. Established in 1973, we have expanded from Newfoundland and Labrador to global operations. We pride ourselves on servicing remote communities and charter work while adhering to high environmental standards. Navigate the Arctic and coastal waters of Canada, with overseas opportunities in Europe.

As a Master, you will oversee the safe and efficient operation of the vessel and crew. Key responsibilities include enforcing safety regulations, communicating expectations, ensuring compliance with policies, motivating the crew, and managing cargo transportation. You will also handle logbooks, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Master Mariner Unlimited Certificate of Competency
2. STCW Basic Safety/Survival Craft/Advanced Firefighting
3. Ship Personnel with Designated Security Duties
4. Transport Canada Marine Medical
5. Marine Advanced First Aid
6. GMDSS (General Operators Certificate)
7. ECDIS (generic and type-specific Furuno or JRC)
8. Advanced Oil and Chemical endorsement (preferred)

Additional Requirements:
1. Experience in Arctic and remote area navigation is preferred
2. Strong leadership and communication skills
